She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Durre and Edith Durre (Yearling); her husband Harold Towsley; her son-in-law Ron Gilbert; and her siblings, John Durre and Carole McDonald.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Towsley of Fort Wayne, Bruce Towsley (Renee) of Fort Wayne and Dr. Amy Gilbert of Fort Wayne; her brother Ted Durre (Janet); her grandchildren, Kurt Towsley, Dr. Andrew Gilbert (Darcy), Ashley Guntle (Colin), Allison Towsley, Julia Holder (Brian), David Gilbert (Stacy) and John Gilbert (Bethany); her great grandchildren, Rebekah Towsley, J. J. Towsley, Isaac Guntle, Cooper Guntle and Braydon Guntle; and her grandchildren, Logan Gilbert (Kali), Mason Gilbert, Simon Gilbert, Camryn Gilbert, Jorja Gilbert and Harrison Gilbert.
