We bid farewell to Newell M. Standridge Jr. (Fort Wayne, Indiana), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 22, 2025 at the age of 77. Newell touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Newell M. Sr. Standridge and Doris Standridge; his sibling Deborah'Debbie'Petree; and his siblings-in-law, Joann (Don Naman) and Bryant Jarnigan.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly, Jeff Handley, Alex Handley, Dakota Handley, Colby Standridge, Zane Standridge, Georgia Standridge and Khai Ngo; his daughters-in-law, Carrie (Brian Baker), Dora Lee, Morgan (Martin DeWit) and Allie Graham; his siblings, Dorothy'Dottie'Standridge, Tim Standridge, Teresa Wilson, Jan Standridge, Donna Stephens, Denise Jarnigan, Dawn and Jeff Haynes; his siblings-in-law, Donna (Carl Bolton), Susan Teffeteller, Jack Petree (Linda Crass) and Robert Hubbard; and his children, Mack Singleton, Howard'Red'Anthony, Richard Welch, Francis Wilmot, Harold White, Leslie Scott and Ed Parkins. He is also survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, two children, one son-in-law, four grandchildren, and his first great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley (1320 E Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Victory Junction would honor his legacy.
