He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmer Henschen and Beatrice Henschen (Kinerk). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Henschen; his children, Shelly Anne Harris (Kevin) and Bradley V. Henschen; his grandchildren, Adrian and Danielle; and his siblings, Suzanne Dunlap (Bob), Lynn (Bernice) and Jay Henschen.

Memorials may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, ALS Foundation, Kindred Hospice, Brightstar Home Care, or Waynedale United Methodist Church.
