He is survived by: his parent Catherine Arend; his children, Richard J. Arend (Mary) of Wolcottville, Ronald Arend (Kathy) of Highland, Ill., Catherine Earnhart (Randy) of Fort Wayne, Christine Arend of New Haven and Constance Johnson (Parker) of Easley, S. C.; and his siblings, Marjorie Hensler, Dorothy Arnold (Dale), Joan Brown (Kenneth) and Rosemary Thompson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
