She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Howard and Mary Catherine Howard (Rice); and her siblings, Beulah Pardlow and Jerome Howard. She is survived by: her husband James Branigan; her children, LaToya Carlisle and Troy Branigan (LaKeisha); her grandchildren, Amaiya Branigan and Aristan Branigan; and her siblings, Joe Lee Howard, Percie Lee Howard, Larry Howard (Shirley), Graylin Howard, Fletcher Howard (Barbara), Hazel Caldwell (Norman), Lala Mae Wedden, Bernice McGhee (Bernard), Cleretta Phillips (Bryan) and Joann Davis.
