He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin D. Myers and Anna Myers-Roop (Liechty); his wife Marjorie Melcher; his siblings, True Myers and Hope Neal-Hudson; his stepfather Kenneth Roop; his grandson Jason Myers Ridenour; and his brother-in-law Robert Melcher.
He is survived by: his daughters, Darlene Zeitvogel (Roy) of Decatur and Charlene Harmon (Jimmian) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his stepchildren, Janilyn O'Shaughnessey (Leon) of Monroeville, Jill Renae Bieberich (Doug) of Hudson, Jacquelyn Knefelkamp (Jeff) of Monroeville, Indiana and Darin Scheumann (Gwen) of Ossian, Indiana; his sister-in-law Hanna Louise Melcher of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Shaun Smith, Heather Mackin, Mekhi Zeitvogel, Chaucey Weaver (Brandon), Alex O'Shaughnessey (Stephanie), Brady O'Shaughnessey (Shayla), Amanda Payonk (Dennis), Phillip Bieberich (Lindsay), Mitchell Bieberich (Jenny), Chris Knefelkamp (Brianna), Sarah Cesaretti (Joe), Jay Scheumann and Joseph Scheumann. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Boundless Church of the Nazarene (6555 N Piqua Rd, Decatur, IN 46733). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Preferred memorials can be given to Lighthouse Church in Monroe or Boundless Church of the Nazarene, Decatur.
