He was predeceased by: his parents, Stacy E. Haines and Colleen L. Haines (Diffendorfer). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Haines; his children, Reed, Kelly Haines of Houston, TX and Katie Haines of Philadelphia, PA; and his brother Tyler Haines of Leesburg, IN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the Ash Centre/World Baseball Academy for promoting youth sports or Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
