He was predeceased by: his parents, Vasil and Olga; his brother Robert; his nephew Michael Choka; and also, Luba Christoff, Cyril Christoff, Helen Choka and Russell Choka.

He is survived by: his wife Norma Eshcoff (Geerken); his sons, Jim (Susan), Tom and Dedo; his grandchildren, Christie (David Chambers), Katrina (Blake Mathis) and Nicholas; and his sister-in-law Natka Eshcoff.
