We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025, at the age of 79, Barbara Josephine Butler (Franklin, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara Josephine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara Josephine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Butler. She is survived by: her children, Eric McElhaney (Jenny) of Greenwood and Gina Waldrip (Rick) of Bargersville; and her grandsons, Evan McElhaney and Rick Waldrip.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1600 Westview Dr, Franklin, IN 46131).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Johnson County Humane Society.
