He was predeceased by : his parents, Reggie Duffer and Frankie Duffer (Rollin); his wife Mary Ruth Duffer (Riley); his children, Robert G. Duffer, David A. Duffer, Cindy Duffer, Joanna Cravens and Mary J. Tanner; and his siblings, Roy Duffer, Norva Hoskins and Lois Duffer.

He is survived by : his son Johnny Duffer of Greenwood, IN; his grandsons, Justin Perry (Jasmin) of Trafalgar, IN, Stacy Hogue (Bobby) of Trafalgar, IN, Neal Tanner of Greenwood, IN, Kim Kersey (Chris) of Greenwood, IN and Dustin Keith Duffer of Lafayette, TN; his great grandchildren, Cambrie Perry, Hanna Kersey, Olivia Kersey, Emily Hogue and Cody Tanner; and his friend Alberta Farr.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center (300 S Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at the Greenlawn Cemetery (100 W South St, Franklin, IN 46131).
