He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Lorain Castagnola (Casto). He is survived by: his children, Stacia Barton (Greg) of Franklin, IN and Allan Apple (Laura) of Southport, IN; and his siblings, Lou Castagnola (Marian) of New Jersey and Helen Rafferty of New Jersey. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missionary Baptist Church of Franklin, IN in care of the mortuary.
