He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy E. Tinkle and Reba E. Tinkle (Christian); his former wife Arvetta Lorene Tinkle (Kinnick); his children, Paul Tinkle and Penny Tinkle; his granddaughter Tracie Miller; and his great grandchild Charlotte Tinkle.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Hacker Tinkle (Lochray); his sister Martha Frances Burkey (Tinkle); and his children, Phil (Joyce Whitley), Priscilla Dashiell, Peggy Harold (Bob), Pam Harold (David), Pete (Pat Whalin), Patrick (Wilma), Portia Hughes (Larry), Perry (Susie), Sam, Jr. (Nancy), Patricia, Trish Jones (Bruce), Paulette Lott (Jack), Preston (Brandy), Parvin (Julie) and Presley (Julia). He is also survived by 61 grandchildren, 121 great-grandchildren and 47 great-great-grandchildren.
