It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hassie Houshour of Franklin, Indiana, born in Macon, Tennessee, who passed away on January 12, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie James and Lallie Iva Carter (Cox); her significant other Everett Houshour; and her son Douglas Houshour. She is survived by: her son Donald Houshour (Tamera) of Franklin; her daughter-in-law Beth Houshour of Whiteland; her grandchildren, Rachel Thomas (Chuck) of Flat Rock, Anthony Houshour of Nashsville, J. D. and Jon Houshour of Whiteland; her great grandchild Whitley Wilhite (Austin) of Shelbyville; her great great grandchildren, Maddix and Jagger Wilhite; and her siblings, Bob Carter (Frances) of Florida, Jack Carter (Donna) of Franklin, Charlene Piercey (Richard) and Shirley Carter of Lafayette, Tennessee. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
