He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Burgess and Aleene Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Holmes Burgess; his children, Jack Clem and Jewel Meador; and his stepsons, Robert Lee Holmes, Jr. and Randall Scott Holmes. He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
