He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Burris and Helen Burris (McQueen); and his brother Jesse L. Burris. He is survived by : his wife Pamela Burris (Murrell); his sons, Jerry Burris, Jr. (Erika) of Rushville and Brian Burris of Laurel; his siblings, Joe Burris of Laurel, Susie Beard of Indianapolis and Patsy Shelby of Lawrenceburg; and his grandsons, Evan, Jordan and Jayden Burris.
