She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Carlton and Bertie Hume Waller Carlton; her former husband John L. Estridge of Franklin County; her husband Leo Eugene Hastings of Richmond; her siblings, Edmond, Ollie, Robert William, Anna Carey, Rula Abercrombie and Mary Pennington; her grandchild Myah Sue Knecht; her great grandchild Jaxson Wolff Axelrod; and her stepgrandchildren, Chris Hastings and Bryan Himelick.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Longenecker (John), Karen Hartje (Paul) and John Estridge (Ruth); and her stepchildren, Terry Eugene Hastings (Roberta), Carolyn Himelick (Marvin), Nancy Sue Geier and Teresa Lynn Glidden (Rusty). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
