He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Owen and Evelyn Luella Friedel (Towers); his son Benjamin Friedel; and his siblings, Susan Friedel, Larry, Eric and Randolph Friedel.
He is survived by : his children, Kelly Baker (Shane) of Fremont and Matt Friedel of Angola, Indiana; and his sisters, Sara Jane Sweet, Peggy Bishop and Michelle R. "Mitzi" Gary. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
