Elsie McCord Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie McCord of Greenfield, Indiana, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Byford Lane and India Grace Lane (Wright); her husband Jim Ed McCord; and her daughter Denise Shea. She is survived by: her children, David McCord (Connie) of Greenfield and Deanna Sparks (Patrick) of Shirley; her grandchildren, Telly Garner, Trina Sowder (Jess), Joshua Sparks, Cody Sparks (Lesa) and Hannah Buckley (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Zack Garner, Bryce Sowder, Kadi Sparks, Schuyler Sparks, Maci Sowder, Ava Sparks, Joseph Sparks, Lanee Swindell, Noah Sparks, Harper Buckley and Beau Buckley; her great great grandchildren, Grayson and Arabella; and her caregiver Teresa Brooks. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Care (34 W Main St, Knightstown, IN 46148). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
