She was predeceased by: her parents, Ode Slaven and Opal Slaven (Coffey); her husband Carl Stringer; and her sisters, Annette Slaven and Naomi Hall.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Dishman (Larry) of Moss Point, MS, Penny Covington (Ransom) of Indianapolis, Carla Duncan (Scott) of Indianapolis, Lisa Richardson (John) of New Castle and Janet Bolding (Dave) of Greenfield; her great grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) and Bradshaw; her grandchildren, Angie (Tim), Wilson, Brayden, Brycen, Mason, Ellie, Charlotte, Caroline, Amy (Aaron), Brock, Alaina (Roland), Stegmeier, Aaron (Erica), Andrew (Emily), Troy, Rosie, Ruby, Cash, Annie, Austin Dishman (Megan), Anthony Dishman, Jasper, Jace, John Walker, Darren (Abbie), Covington, Diana (Chris), Brown, Olivia Breeding (Hardy), Jessie (Michael), Johnson, Connor Vaughn, Savanna Duncan, Sophie Duncan (Troy Verbarg), Alissa (Derek), Orr, Jeremy (Karen), Richardson, Jordan (Molly), Donovan (Zoe) and Blaine Bolding (Andrea); her sister Barbara Vaughn; and her sisters-in-law, Rosie Stringer and Dorothy Stringer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory (1484 US-40, Greenfield, IN 46140). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made by mail to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st.
