He was predeceased by: his parents, Alden and Dorothy; and his brothers, Jerry and Joe. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Detomasi; his children, Andrew (Jodi Ewing), Matthew (Gia) and Emily (Ethan Crough); his grandchildren, Ella Miller (Josh), Alden Westhafer, Claudia Westhafer, Bo Crough and Ogden Crough; his great grandchildren, Everett, Flora and Winston Miller; and his siblings, Tom Westhafer, Barbara Westhafer and Dottie Crebo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (302 N Franklin St, Greensburg, IN 47240). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
