She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest Rueben Salter and Martha Ann Salter (Grimes); her sister Eldora Kirkpatrick; her close friend Eldora Kirkpatrick; her brothers, Truman, Paul and Ernest Salter Jr.; her husband Clarence McCloud (Cloudy); her daughter Barbara Peters (Osborne); her stepdaughter Kathleen Scruggs (McCloud); and her stepgrandson Jason Scruggs. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
