She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Petree and Cora Petree (Spangler); her husband Everett M. Hayes; and her siblings, Laverne Reinke, Viola Johnson, Barbara Smidlin, Harold, Charles, Jim, Donald, Vernon and Larry.
She is survived by: her children, Leigh Hayes, Elena Smith and Tim Hayes; her granddaughters, Heather and Amanda; her great grandchildren, Chelsea Carson, Hayley Carson and Aubrey Murphy; and her siblings, Florence Sparks and Wendell Petree. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to Johnson County Food Pantry-Center Grove, or any homeless shelter for women and children.
