He was predeceased by: his parents, James Yager and Edna Bell Yager (Gaines); his former wife Barbara Yager; his brothers, William Yager, James Yager Jr. and Ronnie Lee Yager; and his grandparents, Milford C., Margaret Gaines, Everett and Jantje Yager.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Yager; and his siblings, Darlene Bray (Jessie) and Richard Naylor (Patty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
