We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2021, at the age of 87, Melva Carlson of Hammond, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Almonzo Purkey and Josephine Purkey; and her brothers, Jerald Purkey (late Urzela) and Delbert "Bud" Purkey (late Connie). She is survived by: her children, Karl Carlson (Char), Roxane VanTil, Glen Carlson (Lois), Dawn Haring, Jr. (Clifford) and Bonnie Bruce (James); her sister Joan Summers; and her husband Bob Ray. She is also survived by 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
