He was predeceased by: his parents, William Wilson Maddox Sr. and Mary Forest Maddox (McCombs); and his siblings, William W. Maddox Jr., Kenneth D. Maddox, Donald W. Maddox and Mary E. Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Jane Maddox of Hartford City; his children, Steven L. Maddox (Charlene) of Hartford City, Laura L. Maddox of Hartford City and Suzanne J. Ely (Bill) of Hartford City; his grandchildren, Nicholas "Nick" Maddox, Matthew "Matt" Maddox (Stephanie), Andrew Maddox (Kayla), Dennis Maddox (Shelby), Michael McGahey, Alisha Ely, Christopher McGahey (Allison Capper), Stephen Ingram (Ken), Nicholas Ely, Clinton McGill, Thomas Moser (Stephanie), Zachary Moser (Whitni), Bo Ely (Kasey) and Matthew Ely; and his siblings, Margaret A. Oyler of Muncie, Jean Riggs of Poneto, Joyce M. Jenkins of South Bend, Larry D. Maddox (Karen) of Upland and Linda Lou Stroup (Paul E.) of Goshen. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Keplinger Funeral Home (509 N High St, Hartford City, IN 47348). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
