Janet Sue Sporleder left this world on June 15, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Simmons and Mary Catherine Downs Simmons; her husband Larry L. Sporleder; and her close friend Ron James. She is survived by: her brother Jerry Simmons (Theresa); her brother-in-law Melvin Sporleder (Jeri); her nephew Jeff Sporleder (Carmen); her niece Kathy Hillen (John); her grandchildren, Amber Hook (Bryan), Derek Hillen (Sarah), Caitlin Smith (Larron) and Courtney Pennington (Trent); her great grandchildren, Saylor, Lexi, Oryn Hook, Maggie, Evie Hillen, Josiah, Asher Smith, Ellie and Carter Pennington; and her pets, Gus and Tilly. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Chamber of Commerce - Tod Sporleder Scholarship.
