He was predeceased by: his wife Joanne; and his grandson Andrew Schau. He is survived by: his children, Ruth Schau (Steve) and Edward J. Zahrndt (Jane); his grandchildren, Paulina, Anna Schau, Stephanie and Jeremy Zahrndt; and his sister-in-law Dory Gruszka. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
