She was predeceased by: her parents, James E., Sr. and Joy Leona Moore Adams (Moore); her husband Albert Ray Matthews, Jr.; her siblings, Elizabeth J. Holmes (Robert C.), James E. Adams, Jr. (Jean R. Groves), David Lee Adams, Sr. (Beatrice L.), Gwendolyn "Gwenny" Aiello (Sam), Lucille "Lucy" M. Ward (Clifford Edward), Elsie Leona Frazier (Bernard J.) and Joy Ellen Adams; and her sibling-in-law Jackie Ellingham (Cooke).
She is survived by: her sister Marilou Beshears (James); her sons, Arthur, Adam (Paula Ketcham) and Allen Matthews (Kathryn Krooswyk); and her granddaughters, Ashley Sieracki (Jason), Richanne Matthews, Veronica Matthews and Alyssa Matthews. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
