He was predeceased by: his parents, Kosta Trkulja and Mitza Trkulja; his brothers, Mitch and Ranko Trkulja; his parents-in-law, James and Elizabeth Hogg; and his nephew Jarod James Dial.
He is survived by: his wife Isabelle Hogg Trkulja; his children, Elizabeth Rose of Martinsville, Michael Trkulja, Diane Trkulja Castro (Todd) of Chesterton and Steven Trkulja of Highland; his grandchildren, Nicole Pemberton (Greg), Corey Rose (Emily), Logan, Sawyer and Mason Castro; his great grandchildren, Westyn, Walker, Emerson, Ella Pemberton, Quinn, Lucas and Harper Rose; and his parents-in-law, Linda, Connie Trkulja, Jayma, Rodney Dial, Joe and Mary Lou Hogg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
