She was predeceased by: her parents, Clem Brown and Cora Fields Brown; her son Willis Harper; and her siblings, Walter, James, Tommie, Clay, Leroy, Wayne, Selby, Raymond Brown, LouEtta Smith, Phebie Gibson and Kathryn Fields.

She is survived by: her husband Elmer Harper; her children, Jo Ann Burton, Sheila Shirley (Junior) and Bruce Harper (Shorty); her daughter-in-law Claudia Fox; her grandchildren, Karl Fields (Dawn), Lori McQueen (Pat), Tim Fields, Kevin Fields, Tammy Davis (Zack), Wendy Reitman (Tom), Isaac Reed (T. J.), Christy Holzer (Danny), Amy Long (Steve), Shelly Shirley, Betsy Green (Rob), Derek Harper, Doug Abney (Miranda) and April Abney; and her brother Charles Brown. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
