He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kniss and CleOra Kniss. He is survived by: his wife Mary Grone; his children, Patrick, Sarah, Betsy (Jim Rauch) and Leann (Aaron Wheeler); and his grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb Rauch, Sophia and Alivia Wheeler.
A rosary was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home - Huntertown (1986 W Cedar Canyons Rd, Huntertown, IN 46748). Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (228 N Main St, Avilla, IN 46710).
