It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen (Metz) Callea (Huntingburg, Indiana), who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Metz and Theresa Metz (Hasenour); her husband Michael Callea; her siblings, Anna Mae Metz, Clarence Metz (Doris), Dorothy, Linus Metz (Bernita), Jennie Callea, Bennie Callea (Olga), Joseph Callea (Donna Lea), Mary Mule (Vito) and Ray Steckler; and her nieces, Karin Alt (Callea), Donna Schnell (Metz) and Charity Metz.
She is survived by: her children, Frank Callea, Sr. (Amy Bouschart), Marie, Teresa Callea and James Callea; her siblings, Lou Steckler, Theresa Metz and Silas Metz (Mary); and her sister-in-law Rose Callea. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nass & Son Funeral Home (208 Main St, Huntingburg, IN 47542). A prayer was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (317 N Washington St, Huntingburg, IN 47542). A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the Schnellville Sacred Heart Cemetery (2500 S Schnellville Walnut St, Schnellville, IN 47580).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Divine Mercy Parish, Schnellville, Indiana.
