She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer T. Waikel and Bernice Catherine Waikel (Teusch). She is survived by: her children, Michael David Vance (Amy) of Fort Wayne, IN, Melissa Ann Lucketti (Lawrence) and Tina Marie Covey (Luke Herrick); and her siblings, Larry A. Waikel (Susan) of Huntington, IN, Elmer F. Waikel of Huntington, IN, Steven J. Waikel (Johanna), Patrick S. Waikel (Cindy) and Mary Ann Hildebrand (Jeffrey) of Huntington, IN. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Huntington County Humane Shelter in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN.
