She was predeceased by: her parents, Nyle Byrd and Mary Agnes Byrd (Stoffel); her daughter Karen Sue Covey; and her brother-in-law Jack Covey. She is survived by: her husband William A. Covey, Sr.; her son William Covey Jr. (Jenny) of Huntington, IN; her sister Phyllis Hunt of Huntington, IN; her grandchildren, Richard Jones, Nicki Jones, Chris Covey, Michelle Payton and Jason Covey; and her sister-in-law Louise Covey of Roanoke, IN. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Peter & Paul Catholic Church (860 Cherry St, Huntington, IN 46750). Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (500 N, Huntington, IN 46750).
