He was predeceased by: his parents, Godfrey Meitzler and Hulda Meitzler (Roth); and his siblings, Carl M. Meitzler, Pauline Michel, Lucille Pfister and Bernice Watkins.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Young; his sons, Philip Meitzler (Tami) of Fort Wayne, IN, Joseph Meitzler (Lisa) of Middleburg, FL, Michael Meitzler (Julie) of Bluffton, IN and David Meitzler (Sherry) of Roanoke, IN; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Meagan Richardson (Jay), Allen Meitzler (Katie), Brittany Thorne (Cody), Heather Zagora (Justin), Jessica Anderson (Joe), Mitchel Meitzler, Ryne Wemhoff, Tyler Wemhoff (Taryn) and Grant Meitzler. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
