He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harvey and Levona V. Tinkel (Smith); and his siblings, Leon Tinkel, Merle Tinkel, Lloyd Tinkel, Stephen Tinkel and Alma Wolverton.
He is survived by: his wife Faye A. Hargrove; his children, Michael Tinkel (Naomi) of Huntington, IN and Pamela L. Reed (Robin); and his sisters, Deardra Studebaker of Alexandria, IN and Edith Shroll (John). He is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
