She was predeceased by: her parents, Rex Hughes and Faye Bell Hughes (Craig); and her brother Michael Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Shawn Chen; her sons, Samuel Chen (Emi Kagawa) of Knoxville, TN and Isaac Chen (Jane); her sister Brenda Lewis (Ward) of Fort Wayne, IN; and her grandson Daniel Chen of San Diego, CA..
