She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Cole and Dorothy Cole (Kocker); her husband Edward P. Whitacre; and her brother Larry Cole. She is survived by: her children, Scott Whitacre (Roberta) of Huntington, Todd Whitacre of Huntington and April Whitacre of Wabash, IN; her grandchildren, Cassandra, Austin, Lauryn, Morgan, Laycee, Natalie and Lilly; and her great grandchildren, Dixie, Gannon and Jeremiah.
