With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Betty Lou Cardwell (Indianapolis, Indiana), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Betty left this world on October 29, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Henry Cardwell; and her sons, Robert Carl Cardwell and Ricky Ray Cardwell. She is survived by: her son Jeffery L. Cardwell (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Marka, Larissa, Shanne, Zach, Sara, Brian and Jeffery; and her brother Reverend Ray Hampton. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park (425 N Holt Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46222). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the People Helping People Network in her memory, for the purpose of serving those in need at the Compassion Center's soup kitchen in Indianapolis, where Betty's brother, Reverend Ray Hampton, has volunteered for years.
