With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gladys MacHledt of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on November 11, 2020 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, George Watts and Dulcany Watts (Franklin); her former life partner Master Sergeant Charles H. McDaniel; her husband Dr. John H. Machledt; and her siblings, McCoy Watts, Flannery Watts, James Watts, Bessie Pratt, Alta Dixon, Della Lindsey and Lonnie Dixon.
She is survived by : her children, Charles H. McDaniel (Karen) of Indianapolis, Larry W. McDaniel (Marsha) of Jacksonville Beach, Dr. John H. Machledt (Phyllis) of Easton, Connecticut and Sara Arden Gridley (Mike) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Kristy Nystrom (John) of Indianapolis, Angela Christian (Phil) of Indianapolis, Laurie Hall (Jon) of Indianapolis, Emily McDaniel of Jacksonville Beach, Josh McDaniel of Jacksonville Beach, Amy Reese (Adam) of Jacksonville Beach, Kathy Pelletier (Stan) of Ellsworth, David Machledt (Lauren) of Washington, D. C. and Kelly Gridley. She is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
