With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Selden Wilhite Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 20, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Selden Wilhite, Sr. and Mamie Sue Sheridan (Wilhite); and his siblings, Mother Mamie Sue Patton, Michael Patton, Jessie Patton and Sonia Patton.

He is survived by: his children, John-Peter Selden Wilhite, Sheila Wynne (Antoine Wynne) and David Echols (Linda Echols); his brother Juan Patton; and his grandchildren, Andre Echols, David Echols, Malik Fisher and Shemar Fisher. He is also survived by his children, a brother and four grandchildren.
