She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Yelladay (Dotson) and William Yelladay, Sr.; her son Lawrence E. Hooks; and her sister Vedora Ligon. She is survived by: her husband Lawrence O. Hooks; her children, Sharon L. Hooks, Jay P. Hooks (Vicky) and Charla Marie Hooks; her daughter-in-law Elaine; her siblings, Rosetta Mathis and William Yelladay, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Eddie, Eric, April, Alicia, Dwayne, Patricia, Sean, Omar, Tyler, Chase and Dion. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
