He was predeceased by : his parents, Leslie Ward and Anna Rice (Bell); his wife Becky Ward; his sons, Scott Ward and Jimmy Ward; and his sister Mary Helen Elliott.

He is survived by : his son David Ward (Yolanda); his grandchildren, Justen, Jamison and Majestie; and his sister Shirley Hulse. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
