She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kearns and Nettie Johnson (Myers); her husband James B. Vaughn; her son Timothy Vaughn; her stepfather Earl Johnson; her granddaughter Tonya Vaughn; and her siblings, Herbert Kearns and Phyllis Dunn.
She is survived by: her children, James O. Vaughn, Sr. (Paula), Michael Vaughn, Sr. (Kay) and Cheryl DeWees (Doug). She is also survived by grandmother and great-grandmother, having 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
