She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Harbeck and Eva May Harbeck (Hough); and her brother John R. Harbeck. She is survived by: her husband Vernon E. Fitzwater Sr. of Knox; her daughter Melissa Culbertson (John) of Laporte; her stepsons, Vernon E. "Gene" Fitzwater Jr. of Lowell and Patrick J. Fitzwater (Tonya) of Indianapolis; and her sister Katherine Cope (Charlie) of Valparaiso. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Independent Cat Society in Westville, Indiana.
