He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vincent DeMaggio and Florence DeMaggio (McKinney); his wife Brenda DeMaggio; and his brother Brandon. He was also cherished by five children (Mona, Demian, Casey, Aleah, and Andrew), two step-children (Alex Abston and wife Abigayle, and Nick Abston and companion Brooke Grider), seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren (Samuel and Michael Abston), a father and mother-in-law (Larry and Julan Schwindt), a brother-in-law (Jim Schwindt), and very special friends.
