He was predeceased by : his parents, Thilburn Thieke and Nellie Thieke (Jordan); his wife Shirley Thieke (Edith); his brother Jerry; and his sister-in-law Sondra Thieke.

He is survived by : his daughter Diane Bousum (Tim); his grandchildren, Mark Jones (Wendy), Brent Bousum (Debra) and Melissa Branigan (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Craig Jones (Chelsie), Ashley Jones, Hannah Jones, Emma Jones, Jesse Bousum, David Bousum, Sean Branigan and TJ Branigan; his great great grandchild Piper Jones; and his close friend Brenda Giselbach.
