She was predeceased by: her parents, Clerdun Sheckles and Hattie Corn; her spouse Richard Shupperd; her siblings, Jack Sheckles, Hassie Esslinger, Laverne Sheckles, Lillian Nelson and Ollie Waits; her grandson Carl J.; and her great grandchildren, Matthew Jr. and Ashton.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah James (Barkley), Diana Oleszkewycz, Richard Shupperd (Suk), Anthony Shupperd, Monica Shupperd, Peru, Vickie McCoy (Bill), Logansport, Kimberly Shupperd, Kokomo Shupperd, Eric Shupperd (Dawn) and Windfall; and her brother Charles "Glen" Sheckles. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Thelma's memory to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
