It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene M. Wawok of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darlene M. Wawok to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Milroy Freese and Mary Elizabeth Marcella Freese (Wiltfong); and her siblings, Charles Freese, Robert Freese, Norman Freese, Delores Sprague, Jesse Freese and Denise Euler.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda A. Horton (Shawn), Elizabeth Tanksley (Ken) of Mill Creek, IN and Tony Wawok (Dee Dee) of La Porte, IN; her sisters, Donna Hall of La Porte, IN and Debbie Lain of La Porte, IN; and her grandchildren, Christine Griffin, Amy Wegiel (Keith), Nicholas Korepanow (Nikki), Sara Bauer (Brett), Alexa Jones, Jessica Williams (Craig), Daniel Kinsella, Caleb Kinsella (Rochelle), Rebecca Wawok, Steve Beach (Megan) and Ian Beach (Jenna). She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and her beloved nieces and nephews.
