She was predeceased by: her parents, Donovan Frye and Mabel Frye (Tobias); her husband Harvey Cathcart; and her siblings, Valen Frye and Gharyl "Geree" Boston.
She is survived by: her daughter Nina Shaw (James) of Falls Church, VA; her grandchildren, James Shaw of Herndon, VA and Rachel Shaw of Arlington, VA; and her great grandchild Callum Shaw.
